This Cookie Policy is the short companion to our Privacy Policy. It explains exactly which cookies and similar storage Madar AI sets in your browser, why, and how to control them. The short version: we use one essential cookie for authentication, one privacy-preserving analytics cookie, and nothing else.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small piece of data a website asks your browser to store and send back on subsequent visits. Cookies are how we keep you signed in across page loads and how we count anonymous visitors. We treat localStorage and sessionStorage the same way as cookies in this policy — they are listed below where applicable.
2. Essential cookies (always set)
On sign-in we set an httpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax cookie that holds your authenticated session. This cookie is required for the dashboard to work; we cannot disable it for individual users. It expires when you sign out or after 30 days of inactivity, whichever comes first.
3. Analytics cookie (privacy-preserving)
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on madarai.co. It uses a single, cookie-free token per browser session and does not track you across other sites. We chose it specifically because it does not require a consent banner under GDPR — there is no personal data to consent to. We do not use Google Analytics, Hotjar, FullStory, or session-replay tools on the marketing site or the dashboard.
4. No advertising cookies
We do not run retargeting pixels, social-platform conversion pixels, or any third-party advertising tags on madarai.co or app.madarai.co. We are not currently buying ads, so there is nothing to measure. If we change this we will update this page first.
5. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies on a per-site basis (Settings → Privacy → Cookies). Blocking the essential session cookie will sign you out and prevent you from signing back in. Blocking the analytics cookie will not affect the product — we just lose anonymous visitor counts.
6. Updates
If we add a new cookie or change an existing one we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes (e.g. adding any kind of advertising cookie) will be announced via in-app banner and an email to the workspace owner at least 30 days in advance.
